Schoolnama: an animated picture of what it does

Nama is the Urdu and Sindhi word for a complete record, as in the Shahnama or a safarnama. Schoolnama is the complete record of a school.

Today it runs everything the school office needs, in one place: teacher attendance and leave, the timetable and wall charts, daily cover duty with printed sheets and WhatsApp messages, notices, events, complaints and the school’s public website in English and Sindhi.

It is in daily use at Government Pilot Higher Secondary School, and it is not tied to one kind of school. Each government school, private school, college or academy gets its own Schoolnama, set up around its own forms, fee structure, grading, timetable and languages.

Pupil records are next: admission through to the leaving certificate.
